EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK.
Category 22.4 drivers are being ripped off. The company uses these drivers as a cheaper alternative to regular package car drivers and NOT as combination drivers the way they ought to.
Since elected in 2020 the 623LivesMatter team has fought for 22.4 workers’ rights and will make amending or abolishing this category a first priority if elected. We need equal pay for equal work and we will demand UPS respect that fact.
PART-TIME PAY RAISE
BILLION DOLLAR PROFITS SHOULD NOT MEAN POVERTY WAGES.
UPS once boasted of industry leading wages for part-time employees and new hires, that’s no longer true. Today, it’s hard for management to continue staffing the building when offering substandard wages and even dolling out pay cuts after the pandemic.
UPS made billions in profit over the last two years, and the 623LivesMatter slate intends to make the company reinvest in the workers. We will negotiate family sustaining wages for all part-time members and better language to ensure more part-timers can move into full-time jobs.
END SUBCONTRACTING
END SUBCONTRACTING
END SUBCONTRACTING
623LivesMatter has fought subcontractor scabs in our yards for years. And in negotiations we plan to add more contract language to better protect our feeder drivers and protect FUTURE TEAMSTER JOBS.
We know new language is needed and we will work with local unions across the country to crack down on subcontracting cheats, scabs, and stolen work.
ORGANIZE
OR DIE.
AMAZON AND BEYOND
623LivesMatter will continue to organize new workers into this Union and partner with other unions to build a fighting Labor Movement.
623LivesMatter is a slate of candidates running for reelection as leadership of Teamsters Local 623. The 623LivesMatter slate has a vision. Over the past two years this leadership team has enforced contract rights, organized members to fight, and won hundreds of thousands in grievance payouts for members. NOW WE ARE READY TO FIGHT FOR THE VERY BEST UPS CONTRACT.
